Helping the communities we serve thrive

We are pleased to share our 2020 Community Impact Report, which provides data and stories about Enterprise’s various community engagement initiatives, including affordable housing, volunteerism, philanthropy, diversity and inclusion, education, community development and pandemic initiatives.

These are stories of hope, dreams, growth, revitalization, education — and more. We invite you to read more about the impact we are making through the eyes of the individuals and organizations who are impacted by our efforts.

"As it has been since our founding, improving our communities remains a top priority at Enterprise. To every business partner, nonprofit and associate who gave their time and talent to this goal, I thank you. We need each other now more than ever."

Affordable Housing

The impact of affordable housing on people and communities is hard to overstate. Among many other benefits, affordable housing contributes to financial stability, access to jobs and population diversity. As part of our focus on community building, Enterprise seeks out opportunities to support affordable housing through direct financing for developments, funding mortgage subsidy programs, and sponsoring Federal Home Loan Bank grants.

Community Development

From funding community revitalization projects to strategic partnerships that place financial services support centers in underserved areas, Enterprise actively seeks out opportunities to make a direct impact in our communities.

Diversity & Inclusion

Diversity is one of eight Guiding Principles at Enterprise. We believe that inclusion and diversity of experiences, thoughts and perspectives results in better outcomes and empowers Enterprise associates to make more meaningful contributions to both our company and our communities. Representation at all levels matters.

Education is at the forefront of a flourishing community. Enterprise values education in all its forms — including professional training courses. As part of our Enterprise University program, Enterprise provides business and financial training opportunities to all members of our community. Enterprise also supports job training programs as a means of supporting career growth and financial stability to individuals of all ages and educational backgrounds.

Giving back to the community has been a part of Enterprise DNA since the beginning. Our founders understood that, as a community-focused bank, we have a unique opportunity to partner with organizations to support and strengthen the communities in which we operate.

Giving back through volunteer work is a way to show appreciation and respect for the places we live and work. For Enterprise, it’s important that associates have the time and opportunity to contribute in this way. Enterprise encourages associates to make efforts and invest time to improve the quality of life in the communities they live and work in. That’s why Corporate Citizenship is one of Enterprise’s eight Guiding Principles, and why we prioritize the opportunity to help support the nonprofit organizations — national and local — that our associates believe in.

Pandemic Initiatives

The COVID-19 pandemic upended businesses and lives in ways we haven’t experienced in modern times. In the first few weeks and months, many programs were developed to help companies, nonprofits and employees deal with the financial impact of the pandemic. Federal programs such as the Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and Economic Injury Disaster Loans program were critical lifelines to businesses and nonprofits. In 2020, Enterprise completed more than 3,800 PPP loans, disbursed more than $850 million and impacted close to 100,000 jobs.
